Mailbox is at 90% of quota

Solution

Symptom: When opening Outlook or trying to send/receive email, notifications pop up that read, "Your IMAP server wants to alert you to the following: Mailbox is at 90% of quota."

 

Problem: This notification will occur if your email account is reaching its maximum storage capacity.

 

Solution:  We encourage you to start by deleting unnecessary emails or moving items from your IMAP account to your Personal Folders storage in Outlook. Be sure to check for files to delete in your Trash AND Sent folders. If you've cleaned your account and still require more space, please contact the helpdesk at extension 11555.
